Bert Armstrong is co-founder and Principal of Armstrong McGuire & Associates. Since 2004, he has conducted executive searches for nonprofit and philanthropic executives and professionals, facilitated dynamic planning efforts, and helped Armstrong McGuire clients raise tens of millions of dollars. Today, he leads Armstrong McGuire’s team clients unlock their potential and the potential of their communities. Bert found his career mojo in the nonprofit sector, serving as a fundraising professional, senior administrator, consultant, volunteer, and board member over the past three decades. He is a past president of the Triangle chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals. In 2003, Bert was honored as AFP’s Outstanding Fundraising Executive in the Triangle, and as the 2004 national Development Director of the Year by the United Methodist Association, the national accrediting body for church-affiliated child and family service agencies, retirement communities and healthcare organizations.
