Maria Mayorga (she/her/ella) is the Civic Engagement Coordinator at Blueprint NC. In her role, she leads the voter engagement strategy and supports building the civic engagement infrastructure for Latinx organizations statewide. With more than a decade of experience in nonprofit management, she has spearheaded initiatives that address systemic inequalities across sectors including: philanthropy, elections, education, immigration, health, and economy. Through her unwavering commitment to leadership development, she has fostered transformative impact by pioneering visionary programs such as High Point’s First Latino Festival, North Carolina’s first Board Development Project for Spanish-speakers and the Latina Leadership Institute. Maria is a native of Nicaragua who enjoys swimming, reading and traveling in her spare time.
