Louise has devoted her career to ensuring people can access healthcare and economic support through community organizing, legal services, and policy advocacy. She began her career in her home state at the New Mexico Center on Law and Poverty, learning to use organizing, communications, and legal strategies to help low-income families access essential programs. Her advocacy work continued as she relocated to North Carolina, South Carolina, and Washington DC, where she focused on helping people who are immigrants access support programs and advocated for federal policy changes. Louise now joins the Code the Dream team to support their mission of closing the gap between families eligible for public benefit programs and those receiving help. In her free time, she enjoys traveling and exploring new people, places, and food.
