This session will be an open conversation with current or prospective board members (and/or staff interested in governance) regarding financial management responsibilities. What are board members responsible for? Does the treasurer have special duties? What information should be addressed in formal policies? Are board members liable for financial malfeasance? Are board members accountable for staff-level procedures? What financial data should we see? These and many other questions will be addressed in this interactive conversation.
