Caroline Farmer worked for several years in Governor Hunt’s administration. After private legal practice she joined Attorney General Roy Cooper’s staff to oversee initiatives such as identity theft, financial exploitation of older adults, Internet safety for children, etc. In 2017, Governor Cooper appointed Ms. Farmer as Executive Director for the NC Commission on Volunteerism and Community Service where she oversaw federal AmeriCorps grants, the Governor’s Page Program, the Governor’s Volunteer Awards, disaster volunteer response, and state disaster donations. In 2021, Ms. Farmer became the Executive Director of the Governor’s Crime Commission where she oversees the Criminal Justice Analysis Center and distributing millions in federal grants that assist law enforcement and victims around the state.
