Heather Hu is VP of Southeast Regional Development for American Cancer Society. Previously, Heather was Principal and Founder of HDH Advancement Group, a consulting firm dedicated to the nonprofit sector. Heather has over 20 years of experience as a nonprofit leader, fundraiser, and consultant, and she has worked at Duke University, Baylor College of Medicine, St. Mary’s Medical Center in San Francisco, and Habitat Wake. Heather is a member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals Global Women’s Impact Initiative and the NC Center for Nonprofits Anti-Racism Cohort. Having lived overseas and around the country, Heather’s passion for working with people of diverse backgrounds and her personal calling to serve those marginalized by society fosters an approachable style with tangible results. Heather holds a Master’s in Cross-Cultural Relations from Duke University and a Bachelor’s in International Relations and Vocal Performance from Cornell College.
